Noise Assessment / Awareness training course

Course duration: one day

This course is suitable for people who have organisational responsibility for the Noise Assessment process.

Noise is a serious problem in the workplace that results in un-necessary hearing damage for workers. This course is designed to raise awareness of noise issues with local managers and offers simple remedies through the noise assessment process.

• The Noise at Work Regulations

• Understanding how noise travels

• Methods of Controlling Noise

• Noise Analysis (theory)

• Noise Analysis (practical)

• The Strengths & Weaknesses of a Hearing Protective Equipment strategy.

On completion of the training the delegates will have knowledge and understanding of the effects of noise on individuals, the noise assessment process and methods to reduce the risk from the effects of noise exposure.

The delegates will be able to carry out simple Noise Risk Assessments.

As with all our training courses, this course can be tailored to suit organisational requirements.

If your company has internal procedures or systems to promote, these can be complimented with reference to your own systems, which would add credibility to the training and create ownership within the company for the safety effort.
