The training will define the term "Accident" and stress the importance of near hit recognition and reporting as a safety tool. The course will encourage delegates to become more proactive regarding the use of their internal reporting mechanisms, to report defects and seek improvements and will identify the legal responsibilities of the individuals and the organisation. On completion of the course the delegates will have knowledge and understanding of the principles of Accident Prevention and their own legal responsibilities. The delegates will be able to recognise hazards and defects within the workplace and will feel more confident about their own ability to contribute positively to the organisational effort.
