The course is intended to introduce delegates to the concept of planning for a safe event/exhibition. It looks at issues that need to be considered at the planning stage to limit problems before the build-up, open & breakdown periods. It will also include the applicability of the CDM Regulations in relation to stand design.

Course outline

  • Risk Assessment

  • Controlling the Contractors

  • CDM Designers Duties

  • Accident Investigation

  • Legal Aspects

  • Crowd Dynamics

On conclusion of the course delegates will have knowledge and understanding of the safety related issues surrounding build-up, open and breakdown of exhibitions and events and be able to effectively contribute to the planning function.

As with all our training courses, this course can be tailored to suit organisational requirements.

If your company has internal procedures or systems to promote, these can be complimented with reference to your own systems, which would add credibility to the training and create ownership within the company for the safety effort.
